Digital Multimedia, 2nd Edition
The 2nd edition of Digital Multimedia was published in 2004 and has been superseded by the 3rd edition, published in February 2009. The old support site for the 2nd edition has been removed, as we do not have the resources to support obsolete editions. For the benefit of instructors who are committed to using the 2nd edition after that date, we will keep a small amount of teaching and learning material here for a limited time afterwards.
We are also providing some short extracts from the 2nd edition, covering material on XML and SMIL that we chose to delete from the 3rd edition.
A new glossary has been created for the 3rd edition. This is more extensive, accurate and up-to-date than the old glossary, which we have not, therefore, preserved. Similarly, we have not preserved the sample files formerly found under Materials, because there are better examples for the new editions of both Digital Multimedia and Digital Media Tools on their respective support sites.
